Hallbar is Swedish for sustainable.
The name is a promise about how our homes perform, and about how they are built: with the builder beside you from the first conversation to the day you get the keys.
Where it started
A Swedish standard, a South Coast home.
I started Hallbar with a simple conviction: that homes on the South Coast could be built to a higher standard than the industry took for granted. Drawing on my Swedish heritage, where homes are designed to perform in some of the most demanding climates on earth, I kept seeing the same thing here. Homes leaking energy, built to a minimum code that European builders would treat as a starting point.
I decided that if my name was going on a build, it would be built the way I believe homes should be: airtight, considered, and fit for the lives lived inside them.

What we stand by
Four things that do not move.
Connection first
The relationship comes before the contract. We get to know you, your site and how you like to work before any money is spent on design.
The builder in the room
Patrik is involved before the first line is drawn, giving feasibility and cost input while the concept takes shape, so the design stays buildable for your budget.
Homes that perform
Passive house principles go into every build as far as the brief and budget allow: airtight envelopes, thermally broken glazing and considered ventilation.
A name on the build
Patrik is on site through the build and his name goes on the finished home. The person who shaped your budget is the person who builds your house.
Who you will deal with
Small by design.
Hallbar is Patrik, Treena and a small crew. We work by enquiry only: no call centre, no phone queue, just a considered conversation with the people who will build your home. When you get in touch, it is Patrik or Treena who replies.
Through the build you follow every stage in Wonderbuild, our project management software, message Patrik directly, and see decisions documented as they happen. Staying small is what keeps that promise possible.
